Why it remains: Fabric headliners absorb airborne contamination, especially from smoke and vaping. The material is porous and holds residue even when the source is removed.
Treatment: Gentle surface treatment - headliners are fragile and cannot be aggressively extracted. Severe absorption may require replacement.
Limitation: Deeply absorbed contamination in headliner foam or adhesive may not fully resolve through surface treatment.
Front Seats
Common odors: Smoke, pet residue, spills, biological contamination
Why it remains: Cloth seats absorb liquids and airborne residue. Leather seats can hold contamination in seams and perforations.
Treatment: Targeted shampooing, extraction, and enzymatic treatment for biological sources.
Limitation: Contamination absorbed into seat foam below the fabric may require foam or upholstery replacement.
Rear Seats
Common odors: Pet accidents, food spills, child-related residue, embedded hair
Why it remains: Rear seats accumulate spills and biological material from children, pets, and regular passenger use. Liquid can reach the foam beneath.

Why it remains: Carpet fibers and padding beneath hold liquid and biological residue far longer than the visible surface suggests.
