Interior Restoration

Bring a heavily used interior back to life.

Deep stains, embedded grime, pet hair, food residue, and years of buildup can make an interior look permanently damaged when much of it may still be recoverable. Perfection Detail is Waypoint's deepest non-mold interior service, designed to restore usable materials before replacement is considered.

Before You Replace Carpet or Upholstery

What Looks Damaged May Sometimes Be Deeply Soiled

Carpet, cloth seats, plastics, trim, and other interior materials can appear faded, discolored, or permanently damaged when compacted dirt and residue are covering the original surface. Professional cleaning reveals what condition remains underneath.

Candidacy

Signs Your Vehicle May Need Interior Restoration

A full restoration may make sense if your vehicle has been through any of the following:

Six or more years of regular use without deep cleaning
Years of family transportation with children
Frequent pet transportation
Rideshare or delivery use
Construction or trade work
Camping, hunting, or outdoor use
A major food or beverage spill
Long-term storage
Smoking or vaping inside
Purchase from a previous owner
Multiple failed attempts at surface cleaning
Persistent odor from an accessible source
Heavy buildup that returns after vacuuming
Deeply embedded dirt in carpet and fabric
Heavy buildup in crevices
Repeated road trips

These conditions do not guarantee that every material can be restored. They indicate that a deeper assessment is appropriate.

FAQ

Interior Restoration Questions

The Essential and Signature Cleans are maintenance services for regularly used vehicles in good to moderate condition. Perfection Detail is Waypoint's deepest non-mold service - it uses extended time, additional extraction passes, targeted pretreatment, and full crevice and surface work for heavily neglected or severely soiled vehicles.

Sometimes. Carpet that appears permanently stained often has soil and residue compacted into the fibers rather than permanent dye damage. Professional extraction can reveal the original carpet color beneath years of buildup. We disclose what is permanent before service begins.

No. Some stains involve permanent dye transfer or chemical change that cleaning cannot reverse. We identify and disclose permanent or likely-permanent conditions during assessment, before work begins, so you have accurate expectations going in.

Age is one factor, but condition and use history matter more. A well-maintained ten-year-old vehicle may need only a standard interior detail. A three-year-old vehicle with heavy pet use, spills, and no previous professional cleaning may need restoration.

Yes. Vehicles with children and pets are among the most common candidates for Interior Restoration. Embedded food, pet hair, fabric soiling, and crevice buildup from regular family or pet transport are exactly what this service is designed for.

Sometimes significantly, sometimes partially. Smoke odor absorbs deeply into porous materials including carpet, headliner, and foam. We can treat accessible odor-contributing surfaces, but complete elimination is not guaranteed for heavy smoking situations. A separate Odor Removal service is available for persistent cases.

If visible or suspected mold is present, Perfection Detail is not the correct service. Mold requires a separate Mold Remediation assessment. Routing an active mold situation through standard detailing does not address the source and may not produce the result you need.

Yes. Hot-water extraction leaves carpet and fabric damp. Drying time depends on the material, ventilation, and weather conditions - typically several hours to overnight. We discuss this at completion and provide guidance for speeding up drying.

Not as standard. Extraction, shampooing, and detailed cleaning are performed with seats in place. Partial seat removal may be discussed for specific situations but is not part of standard scope. Trim panels are cleaned in place and not removed.

No. Interior Restoration is a cleaning service. Physical damage including tears, burns, cracked leather, broken trim, and missing material is not repaired or filled. These conditions will be disclosed, but they are outside the scope of this service.

Yes, $749 is the flat rate for eligible vehicles. Vehicles that do not meet the eligibility criteria for Perfection Detail may be directed to a Signature Clean. We assess before committing to scope.

No. Perfection Detail is not available as a recurring membership service. It is a one-time restoration for heavily neglected vehicles. Ongoing maintenance after restoration can be addressed through a membership.

Yes, and we encourage it. Photos of the carpet, seats, cargo area, and specific areas of concern help us confirm that Perfection Detail is appropriate before you commit to the appointment.

Before you take the vehicle home, we review the completed areas with you. Permanent conditions that could not be reversed are disclosed clearly. You receive completion photos and written care instructions for maintaining the interior going forward.
