Ceramic coating adds a degree of scratch resistance, but it does not make paint scratch-proof. Light swirls from improper washing can still occur. Paint correction before coating is the most effective way to address existing scratches.
Yes. Ceramic coating makes washing easier and less frequent, but it does not eliminate the need to wash the vehicle. Contaminants still accumulate. Regular washing is required: the Waypoint warranty asks for a hand wash every month and a professional detail every year, and any automatic car wash voids it.
Plan on a full day in our shop. Every package includes paint decontamination and paint correction (one-step about 4 hours, two-step about 8) before the coating goes on. We'll confirm the timeline when you book.
Yes, and it is included. Every System X package includes paint decontamination and either one-step or two-step correction, because a coating locks in whatever condition the paint is in. Two-step costs more and removes more defects.
Yes, and it is an excellent time to apply it. New vehicles still have factory paint that benefits from protection before accumulating environmental exposure or wash-induced defects.
The Waypoint warranty's care conditions: hand wash the vehicle monthly, have it professionally detailed yearly, keep it garage-stored, and never take it through an automatic car wash (that voids the warranty). No. Ceramic coating installation requires a controlled indoor environment, proper lighting, stable temperature, and dust-free conditions. Mobile installation is not available for this service.

Wax is an organic product that sits on top of paint and lasts weeks to months. Sealant is a synthetic version that lasts 6–12 months. Ceramic coating chemically bonds to the clear coat at the molecular level and lasts years, with performance and durability in a different category entirely.
